The début issue is out now, and features the art of David Delamere, exclusive coverage of the first World Mermaid Awards, mermaid fashion, mythology and more. The magazine will be published quarterly each equinox and solstice, and is printed on carbon neutral FSC accredited paper.

Karen Kay, Editor in Chief of FAE Magazine, recently shared the exciting news that she is to launch a sister publication to FAE. The Mermaids & Mythology Magazine will début very soon, and the first issue will feature the art of David Delamare (our current Featured Artist!), coverage of the World Mermaid Awards, plus mermaid fashion, stories of mythology and more… It will be published 4 times a year and is a full sized, full colour glossy magazine, and will be 100% carbon neutral and printed on FSC paper. Award-winning miniaturist Penny Thompson is well known for her extraordinary figures and buildings created in 1/12th and 1/24th scale from Paper maché. Amongst the historical characters are found a host of faeries and fantasy folk including fauns and mermaids. Penny’s wonderfully wonky tree house is a firm favourite and her range of automata (a collaboration with Laurence St Ledger) are ingenious. The faeries’ wings flap up and down as the handle is turned, bringing the scene to life. Most of the automata and scenes are housed in glass domes making them wonderful display pieces, but my heart yearns for a tree house complete with faery family!
