This month we’re pleased to feature the work of Marc Potts. Living and working in an old thatched cottage on the edge of Dartmoor, Marc’s art is infused with the spirits of this wild place. It speaks of ancient creatures and hedgerow magic. Describing himself as ‘an avid devourer of all things folkloric’, Marc’s art and writing reflects this. He has contributed to numerous projects, including a jewellery range created in collaboration with his wife Kelly Martinez, and the Shared Legends project. Not long now until the faery clans gather in Celtic Cornwall for this summer’s 3 Wishes Faery Fest. It is our favourite faerie event of the year, and 2010’s show looks set to be absolutely enchanting. Performing this year are Woodland, Priscilla Hernandez, Brocc, Maple Bee, The Dolmen, and many more. Guest artists include Linda Ravenscroft, Myrea Pettit, Marc Potts, Kelly Martinez, Julia Jeffrey and Tamara Newman. There are also wandering performers, the excellent faerie market, fashion show, workshops, and this year there will be a special sunrise ritual on Monday 21st June to celebrate Midsummer.
