The Art of Marc Potts

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

This month we’re pleased to feature the work of Marc Potts. Living and working in an old thatched cottage on the edge of Dartmoor, Marc’s art is infused with the spirits of this wild place. It speaks of ancient creatures and hedgerow magic. Describing himself as ‘an avid devourer of all things folkloric’, Marc’s art and writing reflects this. He has contributed to numerous projects, including a jewellery range created in collaboration with his wife Kelly Martinez, and the Shared Legends project. Marc’s work is available as prints from his website. Please stop by the gallery to see more.

How Pwyll Met Rhiannon

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Perfect for the fast approaching Samhain (Halloween), a night when the veil between this world and faerie is thin, is this tale from StoryFolkSinger Paul C Newman. How Pwyll met Rhiannon is taken from the Mabinogion, the collection of Welsh pre-Christian mythology. In the best Bardic tradition Paul tells the tale with musical accompaniments, bringing the magic of this ancient story to life. Each full moon Paul releases another collection of stories and songs which you can listen to on the StoryFolkSinger website.
