Lolita fashion has originated in Japan. This style is heavily inclined towards the Victorian fashion and inspired by the costumes of the Rococo period. Cosplay is an acronym of costume play which is a type of art in which an individual or a group dresses in thematic costumes and accessories so as to signify a particular character or idea.

Japan is a place we have to thank for a lot of interesting and beautiful things: ikebana, manga, kimono, katana, and many others. One things that most people might not think of immediately is a specific school of joinery that has resulted in some incredible buildings. Some of these were built hundreds of years ago and have managed to stay standing despite years of withstanding the elements and one specific quality that is especially surprising - they use no mechanical fasteners.

Cosplay costumes which originated from Japan are really popular and are also being designed by many major countries such as USA and UK these days. Cosplay costumes were initially designed for the anime characters and now even the western cultures have started adopting the cosplay culture. The only difference is that the westerners use science fiction characters and other popular characters from movies such star trek and so on to design their costumes.

Some manga produced in Japan is published weekly as part of huge 300-page anthologies of comic stories. Just like many people read newspapers on trains on the way to work, Japanese commuters read these anthologies.
