German-born artist Gary Lovelace paints delightful scenes of faery folk in their natural habitats surrounded by animals and nature. Coming from an artistic family and having spent years experimenting with art techniques and observing nature, his paintings are a glimpse into an alternate reality “with no limitation, an escape from the drone cold world where everything must make sense.”

Our favourite faery gathering 3 Wishes Faery Fest is moving to a beautiful new venue for 2011. Mount Edgecumbe Counry Park in Cornwall is a stunning 800 acre estate including ancient woodland, a fairy folly, secret coves and deer park, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The festival will be centered around the Cedar Lawn which features a beautiful crystal and shell mermaids throne overlooking the site. It’s the perfect place to frolic in the Midsummer sunshine this 17th-19th June.
The lineup has also started to be announced – bands this year include 3 Daft Monkeys, The Dolmen, Daughters of Gaia, Freyia, Aero, Spriggan Mist, Elfin Spiral, Beneath The Oak, Malachite, Taking the Piskies, Elizabeth-Jane Baldry, Ziazan and more to be confirmed.
