Celtic Maidens is the début novel by UK author Ceri Norman. The tale centres on Siân Derwyn who’s quiet life in a remote Welsh village unravels when photographer Ryan Ackley arrives on the scene. Their attraction to each other is instantaneous – unbeknownst to them, they are the reincarnated souls of two lovers who were brutally killed many centuries ago. But their reunion is to be marred by the same malignant force who has followed them down through the ages and will stop at nothing to keep Siân and Ryan apart. Add enigmatic stone circles, dark magic, and exceedingly tricksy fey folk, and the result is a wonderfully atmospheric and romantic tale. Ceri has succeeded in conjuring a fantastic sense of place, and weaves in a fair amount of folklore and history along the way, which adds depth to the story. Celtic Maidens is indeed a true page turner that kept me captivated from start to finish.

For centuries we have noticed the presence of vampires in myths and mythical stories of different civilizations. In the Christian and Gothic scriptures, pure blooded vampires originated from the remnants of hell, and were created by Lucifer himself to be sent to the earth as signs of misery and punishment from Evil to life. According to the stories and scriptures, they were extremely powerful beings with almost no weaknesses at all.
