In search of something more after the devastating loss of her father, Signe Pike left her career in Manhattan to undertake a magical journey – literally. In a sweeping tour through Mexico, England, Ireland, Scotland, and beyond, she takes readers to dark glens and abandoned forests, ancient sacred sites, and local pubs, seeking those who might still believe in the elusive beings we call faeries. As Pike attempts to connect with the spirit world – and reconnect with her own sense of wonder and purpose – she comes to view both herself and the world around her in a profoundly new light.
The UK edition of Signe Pike’s Fairy Tale will be published on June 6th. Visitors to this year’s 3 Wishes Faery Fest can join Signe for a talk on rediscovering enchantment, faeries, reawakening, and a reading from the book. Signe will be signing copies of the Hay House UK edition at the FAE magazine booth.

Our favourite faery gathering 3 Wishes Faery Fest is moving to a beautiful new venue for 2011. Mount Edgecumbe Counry Park in Cornwall is a stunning 800 acre estate including ancient woodland, a fairy folly, secret coves and deer park, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The festival will be centered around the Cedar Lawn which features a beautiful crystal and shell mermaids throne overlooking the site. It’s the perfect place to frolic in the Midsummer sunshine this 17th-19th June.
The lineup has also started to be announced – bands this year include 3 Daft Monkeys, The Dolmen, Daughters of Gaia, Freyia, Aero, Spriggan Mist, Elfin Spiral, Beneath The Oak, Malachite, Taking the Piskies, Elizabeth-Jane Baldry, Ziazan and more to be confirmed.
If you haven’t been before watch the video below to give you a magical glimpse of last year’s event.
